# Gopher App Installation Guide for Windows

## Install Gopher using Microsoft Store

## Install Gopher using direct download

1. Go to [GopherSecurity App Downloads and Releases](https://docs.gopher.security/software-downloads#software) and download the installer for your version of Windows.
2. Run the installer.
3. Check the box to accept the terms in the License Agreement and click **Install**.

4. Once installed, check the box to Launch GopherSecurity and click Finish.

**Note:** Whenever GopherSecurity is launched, it will perform an automatic check for any version updates and will prompt you to update if one is available. <mark style="color:blue;">(It is recommended to always update to the latest version.)</mark>

5. If you receive a prompt that a new version of GopherSecurity is available, click Install update.

6. Once updated, you will see the following notification.

7. Launch GopherSecurity to be prompted to sign-in.
