How to Manage Networks

Networks allow two or more computers to share files and access services over a peer-to-peer end-to-end encrypted virtual network.
When you connect to a Network from the GopherSecurity app, a virtual network interface is created on the computer and assigned IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.
All computers within that virtual network can then communicate with each other as long as they connect to the same Network from the GopherSecurity app.
Networks attach to Users and Groups
Sign in to the Gopher Dashboard. If you do not have a Gopher account, refer to Sign Up for Gopher Dashboard for instructions.
From the dashboard home page click Networks.
Click Create.
Enter a Network name and Description.
Click Create Network.
Note: The root admin can sign in to the Gopher Security app with their root account and they will automatically have access to the network named “My First Network”.
From the Gopher dashboard home page select Networks.
Select a Network from the available list of Networks by clicking its checkbox.
Click Attach.
Use the Search function to find and select one or more Users or Groups or scroll through the pages to find and select the Users or Groups.
Click Attach Network.
Once the Network is attached to a group or user, the Network will appear in the Networks menu of the GopherSecurity app. (The Networks panel is displayed by default upon signing in.)
More Details on Networks:
A user can sign into the GopherSecurity app with the same account on multiple machines and by doing so, they will create their own P2P end-to-end encrypted tunnel between the two machines, even if they are on separate networks.
If they connect to the same network, all computers create a mesh network and can communicate with each other using peer-to-peer end-to-end encrypted tunnels.
Users can then access the services or shared resources using the other side’s IP address through Gopher Tunnels.
Note: After you connect to a Network from the GopherSecurity app you can view your local peer network settings right from the app.
To view the local peer settings for the Network named “Demo Network”, launch the GopherSecurity app then go to the Networks and follow the steps in the screenshots below:
Note: Each Network has a Network Details page where you can view all of the devices that have connected to that Network.
From the Gopher dashboard home page, click Networks.
Select a Network to open the Network Details page.
All devices that have connected to the Network will be listed there.
From the Gopher dashboard home page, select Networks.
Use the Search function to find the Network and/or select one or more Networks by clicking its checkbox.
Click Detach.
Select the Users or Groups to detach from the Network then click Detach Network.
IMPORTANT NOTE: When a Network is deleted, all users and groups that are attached to the network will be immediately detached from the Network. Any users who have an active connection to the Network will be immediately disconnected and the Network will be removed from the Networks menu in their GopherSecurity app. Due to the inherent risk that this action can have, Networks must be deleted one a time with a verification step.
From the Gopher dashboard home page, click Networks.
From the Networks page select one Network at a time and click Delete.
Confirm the deletion of the Network by typing the Network Name in the text box and click Delete.
